FLORENCE MILDRED SHORE Florence Mildred Shore, 96, Concordia, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at Lutheran Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Concordia, Missouri. She was born Wednesday, January 6, 1904 in the Lone Jack area, the daughter of Lewis Oscar and Pearl May Reinking Cline. On February 9, 1924 she married Charley Shore in Independence, Missouri. Mrs. Shore was a homemaker and a member of teh Grover Park Baptist Church. She lived in Concordia since 1991, prior to living in Columbus since 1938. She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Shore Bell and husband Vernon, Centerview; two sons, Calvin Shore and wife Helen, Holden, and Raymond Shore and wife Delores, Warrensburg; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; and one sister Ora Mae Johnston, Oak Grove. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley, September 24, 1977. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 20, 2000 at Williams Funeral Chapel, Warrensburg. Rev. Frank E. Myers will officiate. Mrs. Melissa Gower will be the vocalist. Songs will include "In the Garden," and "The Last Mile of the Way." Pallbearers will be Larry Bell, Terry Bell, Gary Bell, Dennis Shore, Daryl Shore, and Darren Shore. Interment will be at Sunset Hill Cemetery, Warrensburg, Missouri. Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 19, 2000 from 7-8:30p.m. Memorial contributions are suggested to Columbus Historic Christian Church. ROBERT MCCONNELL SHORE Robert McConnell Shore, 93, of Lone Jack, Missouri passed away on October 16, 2000 at the Oak Grove Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on July 31, 1907, the youngest son of Gideon Richard Shore and Lula Britton Kimsey. He became a member of the First Baptist Church of Oak Grove at teh age of 10. He married Louisa Helen Brown on December 5, 1936. They had three children. Mr. Shore served on the Oak Grove R-VI School Board and enjoyed sports, such as bowling, horseshoe pitching, football, and basketball. One of his greatest loves was being a farmer and owning land that had been in his family since his mother was a young girl. he lived close to his birthplace and relished telling others about his family history. He strived to live his life according to the teachings of the Bible. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Louisa Helen Shore, two sons and daughters-in-law; Richard and Sue Shore of Lee's Summit, MO and Ralph and Shirley Shore of Holden, on daughter; Louise Shore of Lee's Summit, MO, five grandchildren; Chris Miller and husband, Daryl, of Columbia, Craig Shore and his wife, Colleen of Lee's Summit, Lara Shore of Lone Jack, Michelle Williamson and husband, Clint of Lee's Summit, and Mark Shore of Overland Park, KS. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; Claire Shore, Joshua Miller, Colin Shore, and Abby Williamson. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 19 at the Royer Funeral Home in Oak Grove. Burial at the Sni Mills Cemetery will follow. Friends may call from 12:30 to 2 p.m., preceding the service.
