LEATHY M. SMITH Leathy May Smith, 85, of Oak Grove, Missouri passed away on Monday, September 18, 2000 at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs. Funeral Services well be held September 20 at the Royer Funeral Home, Oak Grove. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thurday at the Oak Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Robert Smith Trust Fund, in care of the Commercial Bank of Oak Grove. Leathy was born on April 15, 1915 in Red Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Pullum and Barbara Sutton Foster. She married Vester Smith on April 21, 1931 and he preceded her in death on April 30, 1984. Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and mother. She was a Baptist. Survivors include five sons, Lee "Utah" Smith, Hiram, GA, Lewis Smith, of the home: Clayton Smith, Lone Jack, MO, Robert Smith, of the home, Rick Smith, Oak Grove; four daughters, Loucill Bell, Lee's Summit, Glendene Leonard, Kingsville, Charlene Avila, Kansas City, KS and Marie Matthews, Blue Springs; 34 grandchildren and numberous great grandchildren. ALENE (DUNBAN) PUGH Alene (Dunban) Pugh passed away Saturday, September 16, 2000 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a Holden resident for many years and a graduate of Holden High School. FRANCES ERNESTINE BOLING Frances Ernestine Boling, 76, of Warrensburg, Missouri, formerly of Centerview passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2000 at the Warrensburg Manor Care Center. Mrs. Boling was born Wednesday, December 19, 1923, in Centerview, the daughter of George M. Corrier and Etta Frances Evans Corrier. She was a lifelong Johnson County resident and graduated from Centerview High School in 1941. Mrs. Boling had been a cook for the Centerview School system and was a housekeeper for Johnson County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Warrensburg; the National Association of Retired Federal Employees; and the Centerview Senior Center. She was a former member of Centerview Methodist Church. She married Jerry B. Boling, July 16, 1954 in Centerview, and he preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Boling is survived by a son, Dennis Boling, and his wife Lisa, Warrensburg; a daughter in law, Diane Boling, Warrensburg; four grandchildren, Jerry, Amy, Jackie, and Justin. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Boling in 1997 and two brothers. Funeral services were held Friday, September 15, 2000 at Williams Funeral Chapel, Warrensburg. Rev. Scott Moon officiated. Dennis Doerflinger, Andy Doerflinger, Dan Doerflinger, Donnie Brant, Mark Shanks, and Lindel Jones. Honorary pallbearers were Garnett Goodwin, Glenn Shippy, Jim Barnett, Frank Barton Hill, Jim Hillsman, and Larry "Bud" Wagoner. Internment was at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens, Warrensburg, Missouri.
