LARRY BILL BARKER Larry Bill Barker, Sr. 51, Odessa, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2000 at his home. He was born July 9, 1949 in Holden, Missouri, the son of Willard Lee Barker and Betty Jean Cox Barker. On February 23, 1968, he married Mary Ruth Claunch in Independence, Missouri. She survives at the home. Larry Bill was a truck driver for Midwest Hanger, Kansas City, Missouri since 1975. He previously worked for Gray Brothers Vault Company, and the Wilburt Vault Company, both of Kansas City, Missouri. Larry Bill attended Holden Schools. Larry Bill moved to Odessa in 1997 from Nevada, Missouri and had lived in Imperial Beach, CA moving there from Holden, Missouri. Larry Bill was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Holden. Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons, Larry B. "Bubba" Barker, Jr., Odessa; Larry Benjamin Vaughan, Kansas City; three daughters, Terry Denise and Terry L. Janes, Holden; Misty and Randy Wilson, Odessa; Annette and William Peterson, Latour; father and stepmother, Willard and Anna Barker Eldorado Springs; stepfather, Merle Sloan, Independence; five brothers and their spouses, Roy and Gloria Barker, Warrensburg, Donald and Ruth Barker, Nixa, Marvin and Carol Barker, Fort Scott, Kansas, Charles and Pam Barker, Butler, and Joe W. Barker, Leavenworth, Kansas; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jean Cox Barker Sloan, April 1991. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2000 at 10 a.m. at the Odessa Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Washam officiating. Burial will be in Odessa Cemetery, under the direction of Ralph O. Jones Chapel, Odessa, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to the Larry Bill Barker, Sr. Memorial Fund. HELEN KELLEY Mrs. Helen Kelley, 92, of Eudora, AR passed away. Her funeral was Friday, September 1 at the Eudora Methodist Church, Eudora, AR. Her late husband was Jack Kelley and both had been active in teh Methodist and civil affairs in Eudora, AR. Her only child is Martha Lynn (Kelley) Mitchell, wife of Dr. M.A. Mitchell of Braselton, GA. The daughter and son in law have been to Holden many times visiting parents, Dr. and Mrs. George Reuter.
