Virginia Elizabeth Farnsworth Virginia Elizabeth Rector, 81, only child of John and Caroline Stewart Rector, was born September 8, 1918 in Henry County Missouri. She passed away last Sunday afternoon at the Pleasant Hill Health & Rehabilitation Center in Pleasant Hill. Virginia graduated from the old Blairstown High School. She was united in marriage with Orbie Woodrow Farnsworth September 8, 1937 at Warrensburg, Missouri. To this union two sons were born, Orbie Gale in 1942 and Gary William in 1943. Also a part of this family is cousin Helen Marie Bonenberger who came to live with them at the age of 10 and Orbie's brother, Paul, who came to live with them at the age of 14. These four and their families were a great blessing to her. Virginia and Orbie live on their farm near Blairstown prior to moving to a farm west of Pleasant Hill in 1954. They moved to their home in town 16 years ago. At the age of 23 Virginia accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. She delighted in studying and teaching the Bible. She taught children and adults but especially found joy in teaching teens and young married women. She leaves her husband, Orbie, of the home; sons, Orbie Gale and wife Mary, Sahurita, Arizona and their daughter, Denise; Gary William and wife Linda, Pleasant Hill and their daughters, Beverly Canant and husband, Norm, and Nancy Burris and husband, Todd, all of Pleasant Hill; Helen Marie Bonenberger and her late husband, Charles, Green Valley, AZ and their daughter, Myra Phillips and husband, Russell, Houston, TX; son, Bob Bonenberger and wife Linda, near Denver, CO; Paul Allen Farnsworth and wife Shirley, Pleasant Hill, and sons, Mark and wife Jane, Ft. Myers, FL; Keith and wife Cheryl, Moravia, NY, Scott, Lehigh Acres, FL. She also leaves 12 great granchildren; other relatives and many, many friends and of course her large church family. Services were held August 2, 2000 at First Baptist Church, under the direction of Stanley & Son Funeral Home. Rev. Wyatt Shanks officiated. Pallbearers were Mark Farnsworth, Scott Farnsworth, Keith Farnsworth, Norm Conant, Todd Burris, and Jerry Morlan. Wyatt and Linda Shanks sang a duet. Teri Melvin served as pianist. Music was "Beyond the Sunset," and "How Great Thou Art." with the congregation singing, " I Know Whom I Have Believed," and "Amazing Grace." Interment was at Farnsworth Cemetery. Charlotte Ann Pease Charlotte Ann Pease, passed away July 31, 200 at her home. Charlotte was the daughter of Elias Frances Hodges and Oraphena Catherine Huller Hodges. Charlotte was the mother of six children and eighteen grandchildren. She lived most of her life in Missouri. For several years she worked at the Garment Factory in Holden. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Charlotte had many talents including a quick wit and a keen mind. She was loving and kind and never spoke a bad word about anyone. Charloote composed many poems, one of which is published on a Hallmark card. During WW II, she worked at Lake City Arsenal. Later she worked for the Civil Service, Social Security Division, from which she retired. Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd D. Pease and daughters, Ora Staley Pease and Merlene Joyce Pease Periman. She is survived by four children, Eldon E. Staley, of the home; Charlene Cone of Prescott, AZ; Donald R. Pease, Kingsville; and Marcia Chason of Overland Park, KS.
