taken about 1928 when she was 86 years old. Her mother was Hannah
Havens, father ? Wells. Born in North Cochoton, Steuben county NY
about 1847. Her mother died in1850 and she came to Keeler in the
1850 with her grandparents, William
Havens and Hannah Hale. (This is the
man that sold the land to the village for the school and donated land for
the cemetery) Sarah married William "Tip" Olds in Jan 1880 in Van
Buren county. She lived with the Fowlers in Keeler and in the Traverse
City area and then returned to Keeler. She died in Keeler 13 Oct
1933 and is buried in Keeler cemetery.
Second gal is Mary Havens Rosevelt.
She is the daughter of Andrew Jackson Havens and unknown Margaret.
Andrew and Hannah were brother and sister therefore Sarah and Mary are
coursins. She would be about 71 in this picture.
The house is, again, the Rosevelt house, which
is in much better repair today that when
this picture was taken.
The man is Frank Rosevelt, brother of the
husband of Mary Havens Rosevelt. (Her husband was George Rosevelt.)
