My mother has told me that my gr-gr-grandmother, Genny (middle name or nickname) MASTERS SHOEMAKER lived in a house called Moon House in South Haven, MI.  She was married to a Dr. Shoemaker whose first name she cannot recall.  They lived there at least from 1910-1930.  Do you have any information on Dr. Shoemaker or his wife?  She thinks they had three children, two girls named Mary and Gertrude, and one son named after his father.  She is not positive of those names but believes that is correct.  Thank you so much for any help you can give us.

I am looking for William BROOKS in Van Buren County.  I have no birth or death dates, or where he lived at any one point in time.  He is my gggrandfather.  He had at least two children with Maria PARISH - we think we found her family in the 1850 census in Kalamazoo, MI  in Texas Twp. with grandparents Benjamin and Sally PARISH.  The two daughters were Lib or Libby b. 1853-54 and Mary Jane b. 1857.  The girls were given away and by 1870 Mary Jane was living with Henry KIDDER and his wife in Monmouth, Ill.  Lib lived with another family.  What we know of William Brooks is that he had a brother named Isaac.  That he was part or full-blooded American Indian, and that he drove stagecoaches - which puts him in Breedsville.  In 1869 a William BROOKUS married a Mary Ann RASCO, contact with someone working on the Rasco line, said that they have him as William BROOKENS and that Mary Ann was from a family in Paw Paw.  He was old enough at the time to have been married in 1850 too.

I am looking for information my grandparents ancestory.
Their names were Dorthy May (ADAMS) SMITH & Chet (chester?) SMITH.  I may have the spelling their first names wrong.  Both are buried in the cemetary in Decatur.  Dorthy's birthday is May, 1, 1916 (I may have the year wrong, but the day is correct) and died in the middle part of the year 1980.  Chet died in 1974 or 1975 and I believe he was 54 years old.  I haven't any other info about his birthdate.  Dorthy had 4 siblings, Raymond ADAMS (recently deceased on 4/14/99) of St. Joseph, Iva (ADAMS) TOMCEK, Marvin ADAMS (deceased, no dates known by me) and I can not remember the name of the fourth, but it was a brother and I'd hazard a guess at Melvin.  I believe their mother's name was Mintha (KNAPP) ADAMS.
I'd appreciate any info you can give me on this.

I'm working on the line of my great-grandfather Charles Newton PITCHER who was born in Benton Harbor in Berrien Co., MI in 1863.  He left MI after a divorce, came to KY, remarried, etc. He was the son of Harmon Jones PITCHER, Jr. (Doc) and his wife Hannah Jane JENNINGS or TINE (her mother's will listed her as Hannah Jane JENNINGS but Charlie's death certificate listed her as Jane TINE) who died when Charlie was an infant.  Doc was born in 1832 in Orleans Co., NY, lived in both Berrien and Van Buren Co., MI., died after 1910; had children Almiron, Perry, Alice, and Charles.  A Mary PITCHER was in KY to witness Charles' wedding to my great- grandmother.  (who was she?)

Doc was born 1795 in CT to Harmon Jones PITCHER, Sr. and his wife Betsey Ann M_____.  Their other children: James V., Truman D., Betsy M., Evaline A., Harmon Jones, Victorine M., Amanda J., Dotha Manerva, Jerome (Rome), Jaasper N., Harrit J., Lafayette, and a grandchild Asba Dean Bennett.

Harmon Jones PITCHER Sr. was born in 1762 in Leitchfield Co., CT to James PITCHER and his wife Elizabeth Mary DURGN.  James' children were: Solomon, Samuel, Nathaniel, Elizabeth, Benjamin, Sarah, Jerusha, Susannah, James Worth (Nathaniel?), Truman D., Gedeon, Louis, Nathan, Jonathan, and Thomas.

James Pitcher was born in 1717 in New London, CT to Samuel PITCHER, Jr.and his wife Elizabeth WORTH.  Samuel's children were: Jerusha, Samuel, Benjamin, James, Elizabeth, Ebenezer, Joanna, Lydia, Sarah, Elisha, Jonathan, Eliakim. Samuel PITCHER Jr. was born in 1762 in Dorchester, MA to Samuel PITCHERr, Sr. and his wife Alice CRAIG (some say Cage?).  Samuel Jr.'s children were Mary,
Samuel, Joanna, Jonathan, and Edward.

Samuel PITCHER, Sr. was born in 1641 to Andrew  PITCHER and his wife Margaret. You know this group of children......Experience, Mary, Samuel, Ruth, John, Jonathan, Nathaniel, and Fay.

Andrew was born in 1621 in England.

Some of this material is from my original research; some is from others.
