INDUSTRY HEADS OF FAMILIES LIST
Industry was settled by many folks from Martha's Vineyard. And those same folks arrived in Industry or moved to Industry in the late 1780's. In the 1790 Census anyone living in Industry was enumerated in the Census with the inhabitants of Starks and Mercer - being a plantation West of Carr's Plantation. It wasn't til 1810 that Industry was its own separate entry; and some of those same people were eventually part of the Town of Starks, New Sharon or New Vineyard - they didn't move, the town line just changed.
