Fern Hill Cemetery

Location: High St.
Abbreviated in Vital Records of Hanson as G.R.1.

Fern Hill Cemetery is Hanson's main cemetery, founded in 1750, formerly the Second Precinct of Pembroke.  It is still in use today, with land extensions towards Wampatuck Pond. Due to its sheer size, transcribing all of Fern Hill's gravestones is a rather large task. Listed below is a compilation gathered by Charles M. Thatcher in the late 1800s of some stones in the cemetery, but even at the time it was by no means a comprehensive list.
Please feel free to email in transcriptions or photographs of stones from Fern Hill Cemetery to create a fuller collection.
