to that 1850 Census, David and Joseph were both born in Virginia, David about
1800 and Joseph about 1809. The older Bryan Sr. in 1830 may or may not have been
father of David and Joseph.

puzzling fact making it difficult to relate Silas to the older Fannins is the
use of given names for the children. None were named David or Joseph. The names
John, Thomas, George, and William were used, but they could have come from the

haven�t found where Silas (and several of his family) went after 1887. The
