Negro Preacher Kills Man

Harlan ,Kentucky

     Rev Ed Banks, a negro preacher shot and killed another negro, H.P. Kennedy after a falling out over some difficulty at Yancy, Saturday evening.
      Banks it is said fired one shot into the body of Kennedy, killing him instantly. His body was brought to the Cumberland Hardware Morgue and prepared for burial which took place at Goodwater, Ala.
     Deputy Sheriffs J. Frank Cawood and John W. Forester arrested Banks Sunday night, just after a heavy rain at the home of George Robertson, who lives in Sunshine. He remains in jail.The date for the examining trial has not been set.
