Death claimed another landmark last week when Mrs. Betsey Ann Howard, wife 
of the late Ed Howard, passed on to her reward at the ripe old age of 88 
years old. Mrs. Howard died at the home of her son, Wilkerson Howard and was 
buried in the Cranks's Creek cemetery. Mrs. Carroll of the Methodist church 
having charge of the funeral rites. Mrs. Howard is survived by five children. 
Dr. Nobe S. Howard; Mrs. Ewell Howard; Mrs. Polly Burkhart and Wilkerson and 
Henderson Howard. Her husband preceded her to the grave about twenty years 
ago.
