About Clay County...
 
Clay County was formed in 1807 from parts of Madison County & Floyd County & Knox County.  The elevation in the county ranges from 690 to 2235 feet above sea level. In 2000 the county population was 24,556 in a land area of 471.01 square miles, an average of 52.1 people per square mile. The county seat is Manchester. Most of Clay County is within the Daniel Boone National Forest.

The picture below is Robert Sizemore with his son Roy Sizemore.  Robert was born in 1905 and died April 4, 1950.  
Roy was born March 6, 1941 and died Dec. 12, 1976.  Robert is the grandfather, and Roy the father of
Della Goodin your county Coordinator.  Both men were born in Clay County, Ky.  Robert lived there his whole
life and died there.  According to research they are descendants of George "Of All" Sizemore but this
has not been proven with DNA results as of yet.
