I submit the following photograph of my cousin, William Clifford Denson, Jr., Born in 1928 in Simpson County, KY.

He was killed the first day of the first battle in Korea.  He was a member of the ill-fated Task Force Smith.  He was a member of B Company, 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. On the Korean War Veteran's Honor Roll, American Battle Monuments Commission, Arlington, VA, he is listed as Sergeant.  He was listed as Missing in Action on July 5, 1950 while delaying the overpowering enemy near Osan, South Korea until reinforcements could arrive. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953.  He was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Korean War Service Medal.
