Bible of William Richey, Allen County, Kentucky (born 1810)

This Bible (or parts of two) is in poor condition. The family record pages are tattered. There is a partial title page. Published and sold by Kimber and Sharpless, Philadelphia. There is no date. The Bible came to me through William Richey's daughter, Elizabeth M. Richey Whitney, my great grandmother. At the time of her death in 1925, she was making her home with her son (my grandparents), Clarence Bransford and Sarah Hatler Whitney, Taylor County, Kentucky. The spelling has not been corrected but some punctuation has been added for clarity. Yes, some of the names are spelled two ways in the Bible..( ) are notes added by Sarah Whitney Baston

MARRIAGES:

William Richey and Mary was married January the 26 day 1832.

William Richey and Sarah K. Forth were married June the 5th 1850. "May love and union, sweet, combine to make them both as one and may they in this union find love through life as it begun."

Eliza ann Virginia Richey and William C. Hanes was married June the 1 day 1856.

Elvina Thomas Richey and A. J. Vanes(?) wed in April of the year 185___.

Clearacy Miradian Richey and Simeon Witherspoon marriade May the 1 day 1865.

ElizaBeth Marget Richey and Samuel W. Whitney was marriade September the 17 day 1865.

DEATHS:

Wm. Richey mother. Jane Richey. She dide March the 3 day 1833. the mother of six children one ded.

Martha Jane Richey. She dide the 5 day of November 1833.

Mary Richey. She dide May the 23 day 1849. the age of 39 years and one month and 19 days. the mother of seven children, two ded.

James H. Larkin Richey the 15 day of August 18_4. (probably 1854. He is not in 1860 census.)

Mary's mother. Diadamey? Hearston. She dide the 15 day of November 1845, in the 66 year. The mother of seven.

Samuel Hearston dide August the 29 day 1838. In the age of 21 years.

Marget Swarngim Whitnney dide November the 20 day 1851.

Lizabeth Hearnston. She dide the 7 day of July 1853 age 51 years.
