  4. CPAFUG. A mailing list, restricted to the members of the Capital PAF Users Group (Washington, DC metro area), to discuss all aspects of genealogical computing techniques.   5. EFSS. A mailing list for serious researchers of Early Families in Southern States during the colonial period to share and exchange records, documentation, and other research regarding families who settled in southern states, especially in the Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina regions, in the 1600s and 1700s (prior to the Revolution). This will be a list based upon solid scholarship and archival research. It is intentionally broader than a surname or county list as we hope to discuss links between geographic areas and clusters of migrating families.   7. GERMANNA_COLONIES. A mailing list primarily for descendants of the Germanna Colonies which were the original German settlements under Governor Spotswood that were established near Fort Germanna in what is now Madison and Orange Counties, Virginia. There were two colonies established in 1714 and 1717 with some "latecomers" arriving from 1719 to about 1735. Also, anyone researching their German heritage is welcome.   8. GHOTES. A mailing list for anyone who has an active research interest in the Genealogy and History Of The Eastern Shore (GHOTES) of Virginia (specifically Accomack and Northampton Counties).   10. LOST-COLONY. A mailing list for anyone with a genealogical interest in the Roanoke Colony, sponsored by Sir Walter Raleigh, that was established in July 1587 under the command of John White. John left the colony in late-1587 and, upon his return in 1590, found the colony abandoned for unknown reasons.
