  9. AL-MOBILEBAY. A mailing list, sponsored by the Mobile Genealogical Society, for anyone with a genealogical interest in the Mobile Bay, Alabama, area -- specifically Mobile and Baldwin Counties in Alabama plus the bordering counties in Mississippi (George, Greene, Jackson), Alabama (Clarke, Escambia, Monroe, Washington), and Florida (Escambia). Topics for the list include genealogical queries and discussions of resources having to do with the above counties and various time periods in the area's history such as the Louisiana Purchase (Mobile was the first capital of Louisiana), Spanish West Florida, the Confederate period, the Mississippi Territory, etc. In addition, "press releases" from genealogical societies and libraries in the aforementioned counties are welcome. The anesfhs-members mailing list, sponsored by the Aberdeen & North-East Scotland Family History Society (ANESFHS), is for anyone (both members and friends) with a genealogical interest in the North-East corner of Scotland (the old counties of Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire and Morayshire). The West Valley Genealogy Society (WVGS), with headquarters in the Phoenix, Arizona "Valley of the Sun", is a non-profit corporation dedicated to sharing, finding and recording genealogical information.   34. BlackSheep. A mailing list for the International Black Sheep Society of Genealogists (IBSSG) which includes all those who have a dastardly, infamous individual of public knowledge and ill-repute somewhere in their family ... preferably in their direct lines. This individual must have been publicly pilloried in disgrace for acts of a significantly anti-social nature. The purpose of the list is to discuss these individuals in order to learn more about them and share information about your "Black Sheep" with others.
