A: Unfortunately, I do not live anywhere near Wells County, and so I am unable to do local research. I have tried to provide as much actual data as possible on this website, and where the raw data is incomplete, I have provided addresses that you can use to contact local organizations who can help to put you in touch with what you are seeking. We also have many "lookup volunteers" who are willing to assist. Please look around the website to see what you can find!
 

A: This information is found on the "Sources of Local Information & Addresses" page.  Briefly, birth and death records go back to 1883 and can be ordered from the Health Department, and marriage records go back to 1837 and are ordered from the Courthouse.
 

A: Yes.  Those that are may be found on the "Cemetery Page," linked from the "Good Stuff" page.  For listings other than those online, you can write to the local library, whose address is on the "Sources of Local Information & Addresses" page.
 

A: The Wells County Library, whose address is on the "Sources of Local Information & Addresses" page.  In addition to having a wonderful online obituary index, they also provide copies of them for a reasonable fee. Or, if it's a recent death, you can try searching the Wells County RootsWeb Message Board and the Bluffton News-Banner Obituary Archives which, together, have most local obituaries since about March 1999.
