We can honor and remember our Madison County, Indiana ancestors by recording data about their Pensions  here.  We are most particularly interested in Military Pensions, such as the Revolutionary War and Civil War.

CIVIL WAR PENSIONS

TUCKER, Hiram.  1840 - 01/01/1898.  Information obtained from the National Archives is as follows:  Rank:  Private, Company C, 13 Reg't Indiana Infantry.  Enlisted 22 April 1861 at Brookville, Indiana under Capt. Buxton.  Mustered out July 1, 1864, at Indianapolis, Indiana.  Pension of $6.00 per month from 1890 until 1898 and his wife Emily (Perrin) Tucker of $8.00 per month from 1898 until 1906.  Hiram Tucker is buried in West Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana and has a Civil War Tombstone.    [Submitted 08 Sep 2001 by Phil Landes, GGrandson of Hiram Tucker].
