The May 2014 meeting of the Madison County Genealogical Society was held at the Edwardsville Public Library on Thursday, May 8, at 7:00 pm.

President, Robert Ridenour, called the meeting to order.

On May 8, 2014, Larry Darnell presented a program titled Publishing for Posterity: Saving Your Research for Future Generations. Mr. Darnell has a 30-year plus career in Information Technology, actively researches and documents his family history, and maintains the St. Clair County Genealogy Society Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/SCCGS..

Larry discussed the types of materials to protect and the various methods of protecting your data. He had a handout which you can download here.

This presentation was very well attended, very well received, and produced several questions from the audience.
