The August 2012 meeting of the Madison County Genealogical Society was held at the Hayner Public Library Genealogy and Local History Section in Alton, Illinois, on Wednesday, August 8, at 6:00 pm.

President, Robert Ridenour, called the meeting to order.

On August 8, 2012, the Madison County Genealogical Society held their regular meeting at the Hayner Library Genealogy and Local History Section. After a few announcements from the President, Robert Ridenour, we were treated to a tour of the new Genealogical and Local History section. The location of the volumes and the capabilities of the computer system were explained to the attendees.

Quite a few of the members had time to do some research.

This was an interesting tour and generated questions and comments from the audience.
