"The John and Elizabeth Hunter home was built in 1834.
It is reported to me to be the oldest structure still standing in Union
County, Georgia. John and Elizabeth are my great-great grandparents.
Their daughter, Rebecca Hunter, married Samuel Riley Lance and moved to
Union County about 1839. Samuel Riley Lance and Rebecca Hunter Lance
are my great grandparents.
I hope to kindle
interest in the restoration of the 1834 Hunter home and the couple that
has many, many descendants."
