Generation No. 1

1. THOMAS3 WYLLY (WILLIAM2, WILLIAM1) was born October 10, 1762 in Tortola
Island, BWI, and died January 29, 1827 in Effingham County, Ga..
He married (1) SARAH DAWSON. He married (2)NAOMI ROSEBERG 1780.
He married (3)SARAH GRACE KING GOLDWIRE September 22, 1785, daughter of Fredrick Roseberg and Johanna Cronenberger.
Notes:
Thomas Wylly was appointed Second Lieutenant in the Fourth Georgia
Battalion commanded by Col. J. White. He was Deputy Quartermaster under
Richard Wylly (his uncle) and acted as spy for General Moultrie - was in
battles of Midway Church and Briar Creek.
In the year June 5, 1788, Gov. George Handley appointed T. Wylly Captain
of the 3rd Company of the Effingham Regiment, commanded by Col. Caleb
Howell.
Wylly was elected Captain of the Effingham Guards and received his
commission from Governor Early, June 20, 1814. His first Lt. was David
Metzgar and James Wilson was ensign.
On October 1, 1792, T. Wylly was elected from Effingham County to the
Senate of the State of Georgia.
T. Wylly's plantation was called Tuckassee King plantation, named for a
Uchee Indian Chief who had lived there.

Effingham County 800 acres bounded on west by Ebenezer Creek and south by
land vacant on east by Mine's land north by vacant land - Dec. 31, 1792 to
Thomas Wylly.

2. ELIZABETH MARGARET4 WYLLY (THOMAS3, WILLIAM2, WILLIAM1) was born
December 14, 1804 in Effingham, County, Ga., and died July 14, 1887
in Matthews Bluff, S.C. (Williams Cem). She married RICHARD ALLEN
WILLIAMS, JR. February 23, 1826 in Effingham County, Ga., son of
Richard Williams and Elizabeth Roberds.

of James Furse and Mary Cater.

in Allendale, S.C., and died October 18, 1938 in Allendale, S.C.
(Buried in Smyrna Church). He married MARY MATILDA GRAY
February 28, 1888 in Allendale, S.C., daughter of Jacob Gray and Mary
Bryan.
