              then moved to Stephenson Co IL, and Monroe WI 1850's. Martha
              was engaged to William H Ball, youngest son of James Moores
              Ball, but when Keturah (Ford) Ball died, Martha broke her
              engagement with William and married his father, James,
              according to family tradition
