Manitoba GenWeb Project
Coordinator
Many thanks to Phyllis
Haynen, for establishing the Manitoba GenWeb Projects.
Although most Manitobans
live in the southern part of the province, there are still a large number
of communities to be found up north. People researching this region may
be interested in looking at the history
of the Hudson's Bay Company, and York Factory / York Landing, as well as
the mining companies in Flin Flon and Thompson.
Northern
Manitoba may be cold in the winter, but it is a beautiful trip by train
in the summer, seeing the trees with branches only on the south side, and
then the wildflowers of the tundra. And don't forget the polar bears at
Churchill!
