Genealogy Research Group ---- Wednesday, November 12 at 12 Noon ---- ---- Library Conference Room ---- The Genealogy Research Group led by Randy Seaver meets to help members solve their genealogy research problems and share successes through discussion and collective knowledge of the group.

Genealogy Computer Group ---- Wednesday, November 19 at 12 Noon ---- ---- Library Computer Lab ---- The Genealogy Computer Group led by Shirley Becker meets at 12:00pm for genealogy research on the internet and hands-on experience to assist people with research problems or computer operating problems.

Lemon Grove Outreach Meetings ---- Wednesday, November 19 at 6:00 - 8:00PM ---- ---- Lemon Grove Branch SD County Library ---- ---- 3001 School Ln. Lemon Grove, CA ---- The Lemon Grove Group until further notice will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of each month to assist people with their research and to present new and different approaches to solving genealogy research problems. Susi Pentico, (education chair), leads these discussions and invites everyone to come and participate. • Wednesday, November 19: “Updating Your Tree, Do You Keep It Current?”

General Society Meeting ---- Wednesday, November 26 at 12:00 noon --- ---- Library Auditorium ---- Chula Vista Civic Center Library, 365 F Street Join us this month for: “Heirloom Discovery Day“ Presented By: Georgie Stillman, ASA      Georgie will evaluate and provide some historical background and estimate a value of family heirlooms brought in by CVGS members. Her expertise is in evaluating and appraising silver, china, glass ware, furniture, artworks, quilts and samplers. Georgie Stillman (http://georgiestillman.com/bio.htm) has worked as a professional appraiser in London, England, Phoenix, and San Diego since 1971. She has served as president of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), vice president of the San Diego chapter, and was founding director of the International Society of Appraisers. Georgie has received numerous awards for her outstanding service, including Appraiser of the Year. Besides being a professional instructor at various colleges, she has made many radio/TV guest appearances and written articles for many publications, teaching audiences about antiques and art. If you would like your item to be evaluated by Georgie, please contact Ralph Munoz (619-421-7251, or email [email protected]) to get on the evaluation list -- there are a limited number of spaces on the list. Ralph has a form for you to complete and return by November 19th.
