Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War (DUVCW) was first organized on May 30, 1885 and was incorporated on December 12, 1885. Our main objectives are to perpetuate the memories of our Fathers, their loyalty to the Union, and their unselfish sacrifices for its preservation. We foster true patriotism and love of country, and aid in securing for mankind all the blessings of liberty.

We constantly strive to keep alive the history of those who participated in that heroic struggle for the maintenance of our free government by: 1) studying the Civil War, 2) preserving monuments, historic sites, documents, relics, and records, and 3) observing all patriotic anniversaries.

On our site, you will find information on our Tent, Margaret Warner Wood Tent No. 1. This includes our Tent history, a list of our upcoming meetings and projects, and a list of our officers with their corresponding email addresses. We are also placing the biographies of our Civil War relatives online, too.

If you want more information on joining our Tent, please check out our membership eligibility section. Should you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact one of the Officers listed on our website. We would love to assist you in joining the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War!

We hope you enjoy looking at our site and consider joining our Tent! Please don't forget to sign our guestbook, too!
