2014

1. May 26, 2014 George Cemetery Day

BCCPG was host to the George Cemetery Day which was held on location from 10am to 2pm. BCCPG Members, Nancy Feroe and Mike Freels, were on hand to greet visitors and share information about cemetery preservation. Several members of the Brown family who have several ancestors buried in the George Cemetery stopped by. Francis Brown, descendant, was also there. Her ancestor, Rosa Brown, was the last person to be buried in George Cemetery in 1979. Also stopping by was a member of the American Legion/VFW of Siloam Springs, who explained that their group had set out the American flags found on all of the Veteran's graves. The Moore family also stopped and visited with us. And one of the founders of BCCPG and current members, Pat Perona stopped by. There was even a donation made to help with the upkeep of the cemetery. It was a total success!
