California is 770 miles long and 250 miles wide at its most distant points. California covers 163,707 square miles, making it the 3rd largest in the States.
Land Area: 155,973 square miles.
Water Area: 7,734 square miles.
California is bordered by Oregon on the north, Mexico (shared international border) on the south, Nevada and Arizona on the east, and meets the Pacific Ocean on the west.
