March 15, 1846 Corbin to Zoph (Henry Jr. and Adam)
This indenture made this fourth day of November in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and forty five witness that Granville Corbin
and Sally S Corbin his wife of the county of Adams and State of Illinois
parties of the first part in consideration of the sum of one hundred and
ten dollars paid by Henry Zoph Junior and Adam Zoph of the county of
Adams and state of Illinois parties of the second part the receipt of
which is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained and sold and by these
presents do grant bargain sell convey and confirm unto the said parties
of the second part their heirs and assigns forever one certain tract of
land know and described as being the North half of the South East quarter
of the South East quarter of section fourteen in township two South range
No. eight West of the fourth principal meridian containing twenty acre
more or less in the county of Adams and State of Illinois to have and to
hold the said premises with all the apportioned there to belonging or in
any wise appertaining to the only purpose use benefit and behalf of the
said parties of the second part their heirs and assigns forever and the
said parties of the first part covenant with the parties of the second
part their heirs and assigns that they are lawfully severed in fee of the
said premises and have a good right to convey the same that they are free
from all incumbrances and that for the consideration above named the
title thereof to the said parties of the second part their heirs and
assigns agains all lawful claims whatsoever will forever warrant and
defend for witness hereof the said grantors have here undo set their
hands and seals the day and year first above written signed sealed and

State of Illinois county of Adams June 9th 1849
Know to all now by these presents that I David Howe of the county and
state aforesaid for --- in consideration of the sum of Thirty dollars to
me in hand paid by Adam Zohph of the county and State aforesaid the
reciept whereof is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained and sold
and by these presents do freely fully and absolutely give grant bargain
sell a lean and convey unto the said Adam Zoph his heirs and assigns all
that tract or parcel of land situat lying and being in the county of
Adams and State of Illinois and described as follows to wit the North
half of the South West quarter of the South West quarter of Section
thirteen township two south range eight west of the fourth principal
meridian containing twenty acres more or less together with all and
singular the priviledges and appurtances thereunto belonging or in any
eise appertaining to him the said David Howe and Polly then his wife ___
hereby relinquished her covenant to and with the said Adam Zoph his heirs
and assigns that they are lawfully __ed of the premises, that they are
free and clear of and from all encumbrances, and that they will forever
warrant and defend the same against the lawful claims and demands of all
persons whomever __ testimony where of the said David Howe and Polly then
his wife have herunto set their hands and affixed their seal this 5th day

and for the County aforesaid do hereby Certify that David Howe and Polly
Ann Howe whose signature appears to the foregoing deed of Conveyance and
who are personally known to me to be the identical persons who signed the
same this day appeared before me and acknowledged that they had signed
sealed and delivered the same __ free act and deed for the purposes
therein ex__ed, and Polly Ann Howe wife of said David Howe having been by
me made acquainted with the contents of said Deed and being by me
examined separate and apart from her said husband acknowledged that she
executed the same and relinquished her dower to the land and tenements
therein conveyed voluntarily freely and without compulsion of her husband
given under my hand and seal the 5th day of June A.D. 1849 John G

Know all now by these presents that we Parker Corbin and A. M. his wife
of the county of Adams and State of Illinois in consideration of the sum
of Two hundred and twenty-five dollars to us in hand paid by Adam Zoph of
the county of Adams and State of Illinois the receipt whereof hearby
acknowledged have granted bargained and sold and quit claimed and by
these presents to grant bargains sell and quit claim unto the said Adam
Zoph and to his heirs and assigns forever all our right title and
interest in and to a certain parcel of land situate in the county of
Adams and state of Illinois and described on the North half of the South
East quarter of section twenty three on the township two South Range
eight West of the fourth principal meridian containing eighty acres more
-- with all the singular hereditaments and apearances and improvements
thereunto belonging of any wi.. appertaining to have and to hold the same
to him and his heirs forever. In witness wherof we have hereunto our
hands and seals this 7th day of March in the year AD 1853

November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and forty
five Granville A Corbin and Sally L Corbin his wife personally known to
undersigned justice of the peace in and for said county to be the
identical persons who executed and whose names are subscribed to the
foregoing deed of conveyance as having executed the same came before me
and acknowledged the same to be their voluntary act and deed for the
purposes therein ____ the said Sally L Corbin having been by me made
____ the contents of said
deed of conveyance and examined separate and ____ from her said husband
acknowledged that she executed the same and relinquished ____ the
purposes therein mentioned voluntarily freely and without the compulsion
of her said husband, and that she does not wish to retract the same in
witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at my office at ___
the day and year above written.
