RICHARD A. BRAGG.
Richard A. Bragg, well known in business circles of Casper, being proprietor of the Bragg apartment, was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, August 19, 1879, his parents being Richard and Esther (Pye) Bragg, both of whom were natives of England. They came to America in early life and resided for a time in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, after which they removed to Arkansas in the '50s and in that state spent their remaining days. Their only child was Richard A. Bragg of this review, who was reared in the state of his nativity and devoted his time during his boyhood days to the acquirement of an education, mastering the branches of learning taught in the grades and the high school. He started out in life to provide for his own support when a youth of but fourteen, and afterward was employed in different states and at various kinds of work. In 1914 he arrived in Casper, where he erected what is known as the Bragg apartment, a building containing eleven apartments most conveniently arranged and comfortably equipped. His attention is now given to the rental and care of the property and he has made of it one of the fine apartment buildings of the city. In 1908 Mr. Bragg was united in marriage to Miss Florence Estella Armstrong, a native of Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Bragg are well known socially and have many friends in the city where they live. His religious faith is that of the Presbyterian church, while his wife belongs to the Baptist church and takes an active part in the various lines of church work. In politics Mr. Bragg is a republican and stanchly advocates party principles but does not seek or desire office as a reward for party fealty. He is a self-made man, who, starting out in life with little assistance, has steadily worked his way upward, wisely utilizing his time, talents and opportunities. As the years have gone on he has prospered and in addition to his present property interests in Casper he also owns property in Arkansas.
