MAGLOIRE CLEMENT.
Magloire Clement is a successful sheep raiser of Worland, whose business interests have become quite extensive, valuable and important. Today he has about twenty-four hundred head of sheep and he owns a valuable farm property. He was born in France, December 25, 1877, and spent the period of his boyhood and youth in that country, but the opportunities afforded in the new world attracted him to the United States. It was in 1897 that he crossed the Atlantic and after landing on American shores he at once made his way into the interior of the country, settling at Rock Springs, Wyoming. He was first employed at herding sheep, in which business he continued for four years. He then bought a band of sheep, becoming the owner of eight hundred head, and he has since given his attention to sheep raising, being today one of the successful men in this branch of business in northern Wyoming, having about twenty-four hundred head. He owns one hundred and sixty acres of land and he also leases a large range upon which to pasture his sheep. His business affairs are carefully managed and conducted and his success is the direct and legitimate outcome of close application and indefatigable effort.
In his political views Mr. Clement is a republican. He took out his naturalization papers on coming to the new world and since the right of franchise has been accorded him has always voted with the republican party. The honors and emoluments of office, however, have had no attraction for him as he has desired rather to give his undivided time and attention to business affairs. He has never had occasion to regret his determination to come to the new world, for here he has found the opportunities which he sought and in their utilization has made steady progress toward the goal of prosperity which all business men are attempting to ultimately reach.
