HARRY J. HALL.
Harry J. Hall, cashier of the Farmers State Bank of Riverton and one of the representative residents of that city, was born in Omaha, Nebraska, August 17, 1884, a son of John and Mary (Meredith) Hall. The father was a native of Yorkshire, England, while the mother was born in County Westmeath, Ireland. They came to the United States in early life and were married in Lowell, Massachusetts. The father was a machinist by trade and for many years was connected with the Union Pacific Railway system.
Their son, Harry J. Ball, was reared in Omaha and was educated in the parochial schools and in Creighton University of that city. Following the completion of his studies he entered the Nebraska National Bank of Omaha, where he served for eight years, and on Thanksgiving day—the 26th of November, 1909, he arrived in Lander, Wyoming, and soon afterward became assistant cashier in the bank of Noble, Lane & Noble. On the 15th of April, 1915, the bank was incorporated as the Lander State Bank and Mr. Hall was made cashier of the new institution. On the 16th of April, 1917, he was called to Riverton to accept the cashiership of the Farmers State Bank. over whose financial destiny he now presides. He is a man of genial disposition, easily making friends, and this quality, combined with his long experience in banking, insures a successful career for the institution with which he is now connected.
On the morning of November 29. 1917 (Thanksgiving day), Mr. Hall was united in marriage to Miss Frances Matusek, of St. Paul, Nebraska. They are communicants of the Catholic church and Mr. Hall is identified with the Knights of Columbus. He is regarded as one of the representative citizens of Riverton. Although his residence there covers a comparatively brief period, he has for some time been well known in this section of Wyoming by reason of his former residence in Lander and his connection with banking interests there. His personal worth is widely recognized and his business ability is being proven in the growing success of the institution which he now represents.
