GEORGE J. KLETT.
George J. Klett is the junior partner in the firm of Shepherd & Klett, clothing merchants of Cheyenne, and is a progressive and enterprising young business man, ever alert to the opportunities that open in the natural ramifications of trade.
He was born in the city where he still makes his home, his natal day being December 25, 1887. He is a son of John and Barbara Klett. He pursued his education in the public schools of Cheyenne, passing through consecutive grades to the high school, and later he continued his studies in the Cheyenne Business College. He made his initial step in the business world as an employe of the Union Pacific Coal Company, with which he was connected in a clerical capacity for six years. He was desirous, however, of engaging in business on his own account and carefully saved his earnings until his industry and economy had brought him sufficient capital to start out independently. He therefore, in 1914, joined Miles Shepherd in organizing the present firm of Shepherd & Klett, and since that time he has been closely and successfully connected with the clothing trade in the capital city. They have a well appointed store, attractively arranged. and their stock represents the output of the leading clothing manufacturers of the country.
On the 10th of October, 1917, Mr. Klett was united in marriage to Miss Winifred Hannas. Fraternally he is identified with the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. He belongs to the Industrial Club and is interested in all those forces which work for the upbuilding of the city and for the development of its best interests, while public opinion places him among the well known and respected young business men of Cheyenne.
