EMILE A. FAURE.
Emile A. Faure is concentrating his efforts and attention upon the sheep industry and upon general farming and both branches of his business are proving profitable owing to his capable management, indefatigable energy and sound business discernment.
He belongs to that class of substantial citizens that France has furnished to Wyoming. He was born in that country August 31, 1880, a son of William Faure. He was left an orphan when only three years of age and he has been dependent upon his own resources for a living from the time that he was a young lad. His youthful days were spent in France and whatever educational opportunities he received came to him through the public schools of that country. The necessity of providing for his own support, however, limited his chance of attending school. He came to America in 1898 and first settled in Connecticut, where he lived for two years. He then removed to Casper, Wyoming, where he engaged in the live stock business. He came to Worland in 1904 and here he has concentrated his energies largely upon the sheep industry, now having eighteen hundred head of fine Merino sheep. He also has a band of good horses and his business affairs are most carefully directed. He has studied the best methods of caring for his stock so as to produce the most substantial results and he never has difficulty in making sales when he places his stock upon the market. In addition to his other interests he owns a fine irrigated farm here and his fields respond readily to the care and labor which he bestows upon them. He annually harvests good crops and his farm presents a most neat and attractive appearance, indicating the careful supervision of a progressive owner. His property interests include a fine residence in Worland and his success enables him to enjoy all of the comforts and some of the luxuries of life.
In 1908 Mr. Faure was united in marriage to Miss Minnie C. Schuster, a native of Nebraska. They have become the parents of a daughter, Dorothy Evelyn, and they also have an adopted son, William P.
The parents are members of the Catholic church and Mr. Faure gives his political support to the republican party. He has never sought or desired office, giving his undivided attention to his business affairs. The opportunities which he sought on leaving his native land he found in America and in the business conditions of the new world there has come to him the chance for advancement. Gradually he worked his way upward until he reached his present condition, which is in marked contrast to that of his boyhood days when he was struggling to earn a living. He now has large interests at his command and his property holdings and business investments return to him a most gratifying annual income.
