EDITH M. OGBURN.
On the roster of county officials in Natrona county appears the name of Miss Edith M. Ogburn, who is filling the position of county clerk and is making a most excellent record through the capable manner in which she is discharging her duties. She is a native of Iowa, where her birth occurred July 22, 1893, her parents being William I. and Ruth (McQuaid) Ogburn, who are also natives of that state, where they remained until 1900, when they removed westward to Wyoming and took up their abode in Casper, where they are still living. They had five children and the family circle yet remains unbroken by the hand of death.
Miss Edith M. Ogburn was but seven years of age when the family home was established in Casper and here she pursued her education, passing through consecutive grade until graduated from the Natrona county high school with the class of 1910. She afterward attended college at Fremont, Nebraska, and in 1911 she was appointed to the position of deputy county clerk and in February, 1917, was appointed county clerk, which office she has since continued to fill in a most acceptable manner, being systematic, methodical and thoroughly reliable and efficient in the discharge of her duties. She is widely known in Casper, is popular with young and old and has an extensive circle of friends here who speak of her socially and in official connections in terms of the highest regard.
