Charles H. Harkins, actively engaged in the practice of
law in Worland, was born November 5. 1880, in Muskegon, Michigan, his
parents being Daniel and B. Harkins. He was graduated from the high
school at Muskegon with the class of 1896 and from the John Marshall
Law School of Chicago in 1905, working as a stenographer while
attending law school. He has been engaged in the active practice of
his profession since his admission to the bar. It was in February,
1911, that he located in Worland, where he now resides. He has been
county and prosecuting attorney of VVashakie county since its
organization on the 1st of January, 1913, is attorney for the town of
Worland and a director and clerk of the Worland public schools. In October, 1900, Mr. Harkins was united in marriage at St. Joseph, Michigan. to Miss Gertrude Royce, a daughter of Ithel and Susan B. Royce, of Muskegon. Michigan. They have two sons. Charles Royce and Donald J. Harkins. Mr. Harkins is a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and politically is connected with the republican party. |
