CHARLES D. CAREY.
Charles D. Carey, well known in Cheyenne and this section of Wyoming, was born in the city where he still resides in 1881. He acquired a public school education, which was supplemented by study in Hills’ school of Pottstown, Pennsylvania. He afterward entered Yale and was graduated from the Sheffield Scientific School with the class of 1901. Following the completion of his university course, which well qualified him for life’s practical and responsible duties, he then returned to Cheyenne and became secretary of the firm of J. M. Carey & Brother, in which connection superintends the ranching interests of the firm to the north of the city.
In 1910 Mr. Carey was united in marriage to Miss Ellison Miller, of Hamilton, Pennsylvania, a daughter of T. Leeds Miller, and they have become parents of two children, Elizabeth and Louise. Mr. Carey is well known in Masonic circles as a chapter and consistory Mason and as a member of the Mystic Shrine. He is a man of marked ability and enterprise and his well developed powers have brought him notable success.
