ARTHUR HALL MAXWELL.
Arthur Hall Maxwell, of the State Journal Publishing Company at Lander, was born in Mason City, Iowa, December 13, 1876, a son of William and Fannie (Hall) Maxwell. He completed his education by a law course in the University of Nebraska, from which he was graduated in 1903. He then located for practice in Butte county, South Dakota, and while there residing filled the office of county attorney from 1904 until 1908. He has been a resident of Lander since 1911 and is prominently known as the editor and publisher of the Wyoming State Journal, having made for himself a creditable position in newspaper as well as in legal circles.
In 1911, at Spearfish, South Dakota, Mr. Maxwell was married to Miss Grace Allen, a daughter of John W. Allen, and they have become parents of two children, Marion and William Allen.
The religious faith of Mr. Maxwell is that of the Unitarian church. Fraternally he is connected with the Knights of Pythias, the Woodmen of the World and the Masons and in his life exemplifies the beneficent spirit which forms the basic elements upon which these organizations have been builded. His political endorsement is given to the republican party but he has never sought nor desired office, preferring to concentrate his efforts and attention upon his professional and business affairs, which have brought him into prominent relations.
