A. C. Grandbouche is president of the Peoples Bank of Moorcroft, Wyoming, and is active in support of all those well defined plans and measures which are contributing to the upbuilding of the state. He was born in Stryker, Ohio, on the 1st of March, 1899, and is a son of John and Louise (Thierry) Grandbouche, who were natives of France. The father came to the United States in young manhood, while the mother was but a little child when brought to the new world by her parents. Both became residents of Ohio, where they were married. The father was a farmer and is still active in business, making his home in Ashtabula, Ohio.
A. C. Grandbouche was educated in the common schools, pursuing his studies to the age of sixteen years, when in 1905 he left the parental roof to start out upon his career in the business world. Making his way westward, he chose Wyoming as the field of his operations and here through the succeeding seven years he was employed in various capacities on the following ranches: The F. S. Ranch, the 21 Ranch, the Ranch and the Ranch. In 1912 he engaged in the stock business for himself and in the intervening five years has been a prominent figure in connection with the raising of horses, sheep and cattle in Crook county, developing extensive and important interests of that character. In 1917 he became one of the dominant factors in the organization of the Peoples Bank of Moorcroft, of which he is now the president, and he thus occupies a prominent position in the financial circles of his section of the state.
He has made steady advancement since starting out on his own account, carefully utilizing his opportunities, and by industry winning promotion from time to time, until he was able to embark in business independently. Since that time his keen sagacity and unfaltering energy have enabled him to make steady progress and today he is accounted one of the leading business men of Crook county.
On September 11, 1911, Mr. Grandbouche was united in marriage to Miss Mary Congleton, a native of South Dakota, who, however, has been a resident of Wyoming since her early childhood. Both are prominent and popular in the social circles of Moorcroft and vicinity.
