She was a homemaker, she enjoyed shopping, eating out and meeting people. She was a member of Ebenezer Church. Imagine nearly a hundred years of progress; Edna lived it.

There are many stories of how brave Edna was, one being doing the driving for her family years ago. When you go from a horse and buggy to a model-T with side curtains and then to a car with windows and a heater, axle deep mud or six inches of snow is nothing to be afraid of.

There were many changes beyond the automobile, her father thought a toilet in the house was disgusting, but Edna thought it was a luxury. Edna always saved every dollar she could - just maybe because she lived through the Great Depression when it was a disgrace to accept what is known today as entitlements. The change she saw in her lifetime is simply amazing. ... "Life is a perception; it is what you think it is."
