Harper, Adam

Born in Pendelton Co., VA, 04/04/1779

Died, 06/05/1870

Age, 91y-02m-01d

In virtue and honor never excelled: always kind, ever ready to feed the hungry and help the needy.

In honor bright, bright in virtue pure, thy days on earth were trulu spent. The needy welcomed to your door. And from thy presence better went. Rest dear father, rest in peace. May angels guard thy sleeping dust. Thy ashes slumbering here at ease. Thy spirit living with the just.

Location: Located on WV CR 17 by the Shingletree (or Singletree) Trail. Standing by the road looking at the trail, this cemetery is to your right, up the hill about 300 feet. There are several unmarked and several graves marked by creek rock. There appears to be 3 small mounds in the one corner of the cemetery also. This cemetery is unkept and overgrown. The stones of Adam and Margaret are in great shape.
