Regent's Message

Trans-Allegheny Daughters and Regent Patricia Goodwin reaffirm NSDAR President General Young's theme of "Honoring our Heritage" by recognizing the effect the Trans-Allegheny movement had on the frontiersmen and their families who thought the Trans-Allegheny lands of the Allegheny Mountains were "Promised Lands."  We honor our heritage as we look in awe at the wonders of West Virginia and what those pioneers accomplished.  In addition, Trans-Allegheny Daughters continue " Focusing on the Future," as we strive to increase our membership and enhance public awareness of historic preservation, education, and patriotism.

Lastly, Trans-Allegheny Daughters enjoy "Celebrating America!" for we celebrate the spirit of our forefathers who blazed the Trans-Allegheny trails which, still today, provide crossroads for our state's development in America!
