I am looking for information on the SPANGLER'S who lived at Indian Mills/Junta during the early 1900s My grandfather (Everette W. SPANGLER) had a feed mill and saw mill on the mouth of Indian Creek until about 1932. His father(Eli SPANGLER) lived with him until his death. I need to know the date and place of death and the burial place of Eli SPANGLER. Eli SPANGLER was a captain in the 54th Virginia Infantry during the civil war and was originally from Patrick County, Va My grandmother was Callie Ann WEIKLE ELLIS SPANGLER From the Lindside, Monroe County area. Any information on these families will be appreciated.

John J. or G. DODSON (b. 21 Feb. 1861, d. Feb. 1925) married Roxie Jane DOSS (b. 15 Feb. 1863, d. Aug. 1922) on March 8, 1881 in Henry Co VA. Their children were Nannie L. , m. Charles RICHMOND, lived in Crow, Raleigh Co. W. Va.; Callie, m.Leonard HUDSON or Hutts ROSA, Cornelia (NEELY) m. Ben Peter STULTZ, Mary Ella (called Ella) m. Hugh OVERTON and moved to North Carolina, Lera Etta m. Ernest EAST, James STAUNTON m. Sadie PETERS, Hattie Mae m. Jesse LAWLESS. She was b. Aug. 9, 1893 and d. Sept. 1947. John J. m. Beulah WALKER, Ora m. Charlie EAST. Some of these people lived in Raleigh Co. John DODSON came there in the 1880s as a carpenter and wood cutter. Roxie Brown was the County Clerk of Summers County for several years during the 1950's. My Grandfather was Clark Prince Brown, who was born in Summers County, and moved to Stow, Ohio. Delilah PAIN /PAYNE, born 1807 in Tazewell Co, VA, married in 1821 in Giles Co, VA. to Thomas J. LILLY. They are both living in the 1880 census of Summers Co, WV. Delilah is supposedly buried in the Crews Cemetery in Summers Co, in Nimitz. Her husband died in 1884, but when did she die, and more importantly looking for her parents. Thank you for ANY Payne connections in this area. She supposedly had 2 bros. who married her husbands' 2 sisters.

Looking information on the GADD Family: Father THOMAS GADD (b abt. 1760) and son, WILLIAM WARWICK GADD (b abt 1780 in Pa./died abt 1870 in Rockcastle Co., Ky.) left Uniontown, Pa., 1792 for Franklin County, Va. then in 1833 went to Rockcastle County, Ky., according to Gadd Genealogies written in 1939 by Joseph Hayden Gadd, Summers Co., WV. Thomas' wife's name is unknown. William married Dicie (last name unknown) abt 1800 in Franklin Co., Va., and had: James, Sebert, Armstrong, and John S. Gadd and Dicie Gadd CAIN. JAMES GADD (b Franklin Co., Va., 1808/died June 29, 1888) did not go to Kentucky but lived in Franklin County, Va., until about 1840 when he moved to Webster County, WV. James married Rhoda THORNTON in 1826. ANDREW POWHATAN GADD, son of James, and other descendents lived in Summers and Raleigh Co., WV.

Will share recently acquired information on the GADD Family from Gadd Genealogies written in 1939 by Joseph Hayden Gadd, Summers Co., WV. Names include THOMAS GADD (b abt. 1760); son, WILLIAM WARWICK GADD (b abt 1780 in Pa./died abt 1870 in Rockcastle Co., Ky.) and his wife Dicey YOUNG. The family left Uniontown, Pa., in 1792 for Franklin County, Va., then in 1833 went to Rockcastle County, Ky., with the exception of William and Dicey's son JAMES GADD (b Franklin Co., Va., 1808/died June 29, 1888). James and his wife Rhoda W. THORNTON did not go to Kentucky but lived in Franklin County, Va., until about 1840 when he moved to Webster County, WV. . Many descendants of this couple still live in Summers and Raleigh County.

Dear Folks, I'm looking for information on my grandfather's family. He was William (Bill) Lilly, died, Oct. 31, 1967 in Hinton Hosp. I'd also like information on the my grandmother's family, the Mastins. My great- grandfather was Melvin Manulus Mastin, born July 4. He died in 1953.
