Doris Lee Kelsey Kaminski, 79, of North San Juan, CA, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at Carson’s Tahoe Hospital in Carson City, NV. She had a heart attack and suffered from a progressive liver disease for many years.

Mrs. Kaminski was born Feb. 27, 1927, in Fairmont, and was a daughter of the late Charles and Nola Kelsey.

She attended high school in Circleville and after graduation worked for the Navy Dept. in Washington, DC where she met her husband of 58 years, Ralph Kaminski.

She and her husband lived in Nevada for many years and later retired in the Caribbean. In recent years, she lived in California and Florida.  Before her illness, she and her husband traveled extensively.

In addition to her husband of 58 years, she is survived by one daughter, Priscilla Starr of Antioch, CA; one son, Charles Kaminski of Carson City, NV; one sister, Avonelle Kelsey of Rapid City, SD; six brothers, Ted Kelsey of Sundance, WY, Richard Kelsey of Creedmoor, NC, Kenneth Kelsey of Las Vegas, NV, Gerald Kelsey and Dr. Ronald Kelsey, both of Fredericksburg, VA, and Roger Kelsey of Latrobe, PA; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Franklin with Father Mario R. Claro presiding. Burial will be at North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton.

Memorials may be made to the Pendleton County Rescue Squads.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Kimble Funeral Home in Franklin. 

Curtis Wayne Demas, 50, of Sugar Grove, died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA.

Mr. Demas was born June 2, 1956, in Cheverly, MD, and was a son of William and Virginia Catherine Demas.

Before recently moving to Moyers, he lived the majority of his life in the Laurel and Greenbelt, MD areas. He also lived in Martinsburg, the past five years. He was co-owner of Busted Knuckles Custom Cycles in Bunker Hill.

Mr. Demas was a member of an operators Local Union No. 77 and the Greek Orthodox Church.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Carol Demas, whom he married Oct. 29, 2004; a son, Lucas Demas of Columbia, MD; two sisters, Cathy Louia of Pasadena, MD, and Shirley Louia of North Carolina; a brother, Jeff Demas of Eldersburg, MD; and a granddaughter.

His body will be cremated at Lindsey Cremation Chapel in Harrisonburg, VA. The services will be private.

Granville A. Nelson

Granville A. Nelson, 80, of Franklin, died Thursday, Nov. 16, 2006, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg, VA.

He was born Feb. 19, 1926, in Simoda, West Virginia and was the son of Ace and May Nelson.

He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He was a social worker in the WV Dept. of Human Services as a social worker for many years, and he and his wife operated Warner’s Theater and Warner’s Drive-In for ten years. He also worked as a conservation officer and was a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma E. Simmons Nelson, on Sept. 17, 2006.

He is survived by one daughter, Judy Gordon of Cherry Grove; one son, Eric Nelson of Galiano Island, B.C., Canada; four brothers, Bruce Nelson of Harrisonburg, VA, Burrell Nelson, of Harrisonburg, VA, Troy Nelson of Covington, VA, and Sam Nelson of University Place, WA; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Sunday at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, with Rev. Mark James officiating.  

Burial was at North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, with military services conducted by members of the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.  

Jackson Kisamore, 70

Jackson Kisamore, 70, died Oct. 31, 2006, in Perry, FL. 

Born Jan. 8, 1936, in Seneca Rocks, he was the son of the late Martin M. Kisamore and Pearlie Sites Kismaore. 

Mr. Kisamore had lived in Florida for the past 47 years, where he had worked as an equipment operator.  He was a member of the New Home Baptist Church in Perry, FL. 

Surviving are his wife, Florence Ann Kisamore; three sons, Jackson Eugene Kisamore and wife, Debbie, Martin E. Kisamore and Thomas Earl Kisamore and wife, Carol; eight grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four brothers, Jearl, Jacob, Johnny and Justin Kisamore; one sister, Judith Vance of Cabins; and many nieces and nephews.

Five brothers, Jonah, Jerry, Joe, Julius and Jesse Kisamore also preceded him in death. 

Graveside services were conducted at the sites Cemetery in Seneca Rocks with Pastor Don Watts officiating.    

M. Scott Kimble

M. Scott Kimble 45, of Augusta passed away on November 13, 2006 as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

Born January 31, 1961 in Winchester , VA he was the son of Loyen Kimble and Shirley Shingleton Kimble both of Augusta. His father was from the Smoke Hole area. 

Mr. Kimble was a farmer and a member of the Augusta Volunteer Fire Company, former member of the Augusta Vol. Rescue Squad and Hampshire County Farm Bureau.

Surviving besides his parents, are his wife Dawn Resh Kimble, 3 step-daughters Chanel Resh of Capon Bridge, Heather Resh of Inwood and Toni Resh of Martinsburg; two brothers Randy and Stephen Kimble both of Augusta; four nieces Andrea, Lacy, Lexie and Jessica Kimble all of Augusta and one nephew Alex Kimble of Augusta.

Funeral services were held Nov. 17 at the Augusta Church of Christ with Pastor Gerald Hott officiating.  Interment was at the Tearcoat Cemetery in Augusta.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Augusta Vol. Fire Company P.O. Box 561 Augusta, WV 26704.
