Henry E. Kisamore

Henry Everett Kisamore, 86, of Riverton and formerly of Petersburg and Akron, OH, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004, at Akron City Hospital in Akron, OH.

He was born Aug. 11, 1918, at Mouth of Seneca, the son of the late Philip H. Kisamore and Cordelia Nelson Kisamore.

He retired in 1980 from General Tire in Akron, OH, where he worked for 37 years.
He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Akron, OH, and Odd Fellows No. 408 in Petersburg. He attended Grove Street United Methodist Church in Petersburg.

On Dec. 7, 1937, he married to Opal Bell Wyant , who preceded him in death Sept. 13, 2002.

He is survived by two sons, Danny Kisamore of Riverton and Lorenzo Kisamore of Akron, OH; one sister, Mabel McDonald of Franklin; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Lewis Dean Kisamore: one daughter, Lue Anna Moskos; and six brothers, Jason, Robert, Mack, Glen, Emery and Mason.

The Rev. Richard Longbon condcuted a memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday at the Basagic Funeral Home, Frnaklin.  Burial was at the Kisamore Cemetery in Riverton.

Memorial donations may be made to charity of choice.

Mayme Boatman, 84

Mayme Alexander Boatman, 84, of Cherry Valley, CA, and formerly of Mozer died Saturday Sept. 18, 2004. 

Born May 11, 1920, in rough Run, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Edward and Mary alice Ketterman Alexander. 

She was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Calvary Chapel.

Her husband, Steve Boatman, preceded her in death. 

Surviving are one borther, Leason Alexander of Huntington and several nieces and nephews, incluidng Carol Crites of Cherry Valley, CA, with whom she resided. 

She also was preceded in death by one son, Allen Boatman; two sisters, Hannah Elizabeth Alexander and Leona Iman; four brothers, Oiln, Connie, Theodore and Gussie Alexander; and two half sisters, Clara Greenwalt and Nettie Hartman. 

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Weaver Mortuary in Beaumont, CA.  Interment was in Westminster Memorial Park, Westminster, CA.  

Ruth V. Champ

Ruth Violet Champ, 83, of Seneca Rocks, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2004, at her home.

Mrs. Champ was born Sept. 14, 1921, at Mouth of Seneca, the daughter of the late Scott Day Miller Sr. and Martha Wolford Miller.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Petersburg Baptist Church.  She was superintendent of Pleasant View United Methodist Church.

On Nov. 25, 1941, she married John Robert Champ, who died Dec. 12, 2000.
She is survived by two daughters, Aretha June Kees of Fairmont and Darlene Kay Tustin of Lusby, MD; three sons, Randall Blake Champ of Arthur, and Daniel Lee Champ and Myron Lyle Champ, both of Seneca Rocks; four sisters, Bonnie Turner of Franklin, Betty Jowers of Tarpon Springs, FL, Chloe Turner of Maysville and Shirley Tanko of St. Petersburg, FL; one brother, H. Hoover Miller of Seneca Rocks; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one brother, Scott D. Miller, Jr.; three half brothers, Denton, Mason and Glenn; and four half sisters, Nola Bieter, Bessie Sites, Nellie Berg and Pearl Miller. 

The Rev. Harvey Vance conducted the funeral at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pleasant View United Methodist Church.  Burial was at Boggs Cemetery at Seneca Rocks by Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg. .
