Theda W. Harford, 79

Theda Warner Harford, 79, passed away on Sept. 4, 2007, in Uniontown, PA. 

She was the daughter of the late Osward and Saide Catehrine Warner and was born in Crabbottom on Jan. 30, 1928. 

She is survived by a daughter Gail Harford Spence, of Palm Coast, FL; a grandson, Christopher Donald Cathey and wife, Julie Cathey of Loveland, OH: four great-grandchildren, Katelyn, Kristen, Ryan and Colin of Loveland, OH; and several nieces and nephews of the Warner family in Pendleton County. 

She was buried next to her husband of 51 years, the late Donald Edward HArford, Msgt (USMC ret.) in Uniontown, PA.  

Leatha C. Selmon, 82

Leatha C. Selmon, 82, of Staunton, VA, died Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at her home.

Mrs. Selmon was born Aug. 1, 1925, in Mustoe, VA, and was a daughter of the late Frank Cameron and Bessie Mae Halterman Harris.

She was employed at Hanover Shoe Company and Aileen Inc.

Her husband, Nathan C. Selmon, preceded her in death.

Survivors include eight sons, Nathan Selmon of Hightown, VA, Aggie Selmon of New Hope, VA,  Ralph Selmon of Cherry Grove, Ronald Selmon of Monterey, VA, Andrew Selmon of Staunton, VA, Dallas Selmon of Grottoes, VA, Donald Selmon of Greenville, VA, and David Selmon of Staunton, VA; a brother, Edmund Harris of Grottoes, VA; two sisters, Lucille Carpenter of Waynesboro, VA, and Helen Rexrode of Warm Springs, VA, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The Rev. Richard Gibson conducted the funeral Monday, Sept 17, at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell, VA.  Burial was in the Monterey Cemetery.
