Ina P. Wimer, 82

Ina Puffenbarger Wimer, 82, of Staunton, VA, and formerly of Blue Grass, VA, died Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at Oak Hill Center.

Mrs. Wimer was born April 30, 1921, in Blue Grass, VA, and was a daughter of the late Albert and Eliza Fleisher Puffenbarger. 

She retired from Aileen Inc., in 1983, when the plan closed.  She was a past member of the Union Chapel United Methodist Church. 

On Jan. 10, 1946, she married Raymond Loyd Wimer, who survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Nancy Wimer of Richmond, VA, and Donna Wimer of Waynesboro, VA; a sister, Gladys Mullenax of Franklin; a brother, Dale Puffenbarger of Blue Grass, VA; a grandson and a number of nieces and nephews. 

The Rev. Andre Crummett conducted the funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Obaugh Funeral HOme in McDowell, VA.  Burial was in the Blue Grass Cemetery.

Patsy L. Cooper, 64

Patsy L. Cooper, 64, of Edinburg, VA, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at her home. 

She was born March 1, 1939, in Onego and was a daughter of the late Ernie B. Cooper, Sr., and Daisy Painter Cooper.

She was employed at Owens Brockway in Harrisonburg, VA, and High Point in Stephens City, VA. 

She is survived by three sons, Roy D. "Sput" Hedrick, Jr., Steven W. Hedrick and Richard L. "Dickie" Hedrick, all of Edinburg, VA; a daughter, Sonya M. Edwards of Woodstock, VA; two sisters, Olive Armentrout of Franklin, and Anne Belle Cubbage of Harrisonburg, VA; four brothers, Jerry cooper and Benny Cooper, both of Woodstock, VA, and Gene Cooper of Linville, VA; and six grandchildren.

The Rev. John B. Cooper conducted a memorial service 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock, VA.

Mabel L. Ferrebee, 89

Mabel L. Ferrebee, 89, formerly of New Creek, more recently a resident of the Dawn View Center, Fort Ashby, died Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at the center. 

Born February 24, 1914, in Mineral County, WV, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Amanda (Likens) Ferrebee.  she was also preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd and Milford Ferrebee; and two sisters, May Riggleman and Hazel Rymer. 

Surviving is her twin sister, Marie R. Burns of New Creek, and anumber of nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services were conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel on Sunday, Sept. 14, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Larry E. Shrout officiating. 

Interment was in the Davis Cemetery, Antioch.
