Roy H. Delawder, 59

Roy Harold Delawder, 59, of Arthur died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg. 

Mr. Delawder was born an. 15, 1948, in Petersburg and was the son of the late Roy C. Delawder and Emily Runions Delawder. 

He retired in 1996 from General Motors in Baltimore, MD. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.  

Survivors include his wife Joyce Mongold Waldron Delawder; a son, Raymond Delawder of Baltimore, MD; a daughter, Rachel Delawder of Baltimore, MD; a daughter, RAchel Delawder of Petersburg; a step-son, Danny Waldron of Onego; a step-daughter, Kim tilley of Petersburg; four sisters, Alda Lewis of Petersburg, Linda Kile of Springfield, VA, Norma Ours of Cabins and Yvonne Rohrbaugh of Arthur; a granddaughter; four step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

He also was preceded in death by one sister, Alice Katherine Ault. 

The Rev. Joseph Eversole conducted the funeral at the Schaeffer Funeral in Petersburg. Burial was at the Newhouse Cemetery in Rig with a military service by the VFW Post 6454 and the JROTC of Petersburg.

Tina B. Caldwell 

Tina Bennett Caldwell, 97, a resident at Ruxton Health Center in Staunton, VA, and formerly of Harrisonburg, VA, died Sunday, Aug 26, 2007, at the center. 

Mrs. Caldwell was born April 26, 1910, in Cherry Grove and was the daughter of the late Ellis Dow Bennett and Peachie Ellen Lamb Bennett. 

She was a homemaker and was a member of Peake Mountain Church in Rawley Springs, VA.  She attended Pendleton County one-room schools. 

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Virgil Warner; her second husband, Fred McClelland, in 1958; and her third husband, Leonard Caldwell, in 1988. 

Survivors include two sons, Leon Warner of Wetumpka, Al, and Berlin Warner of Chantilly, VA; and a large number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

She also was preceded in death by one son, Sheldon Warner; two daughters, Mildred Chess and Gloria Branch; three brothers, Berlin Bennett, Luther A. Bennett and Denver Bennett; and two sisters, Neva Nelson and Birdie Kline. 

The Rev. Lanie Knight conducted the funeral Wednesday at the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin.  Burial was at the North Fork Memorial Gardens in Riverton.
