Jack A. Pannell

Jack Albert Pannell, 72, of 9712 LaFayette Ave., Manassas, VA, died Tuesday, July 6, 2004, at the Prince William Hospital in Manassas, VA. 

Mr. Pannell was born May 6, 1932, in Onego, and was the son of the late Robert jack Pannell and Joy Edith Adamson Pannell.

He was a salesman for 30 years with Jim McKay Chevrolet in Manassas, VA.  He was a member of the Brentsville Presbyterian Church in Manassas, VA. 

His wife, Lucy Downs Pannell, survives. 

Also surviving are two daughters, Cheri Lynn Pannell Mahas of Clifton, VA and Christine Marie Pannell of Manassas, VA; a step daughter, Barbara Ann Harris Lubbers of Sumerduck, VA; a sister, Mary Frances Williams of Manassas, VA and seven grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death was one sister Patricia Ann Pannell. 

The Rev. Earl Bible conducted the graveside funeral 2 p.m. Monday in the North Fork Memorial cemetery in Riverton. 

Memorial contributions may be made tot he Seneca Rocks Fire Company in Onego. 

Arrangements were made by the Basagic Funeral Home in Franklin.  

Andrew L. Walker, 59

Andrew L. "Andy" Walker, 59, of Newark, NJ, and formerly of Petersburg, died Monday, July 5, 2004 at Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, NJ.

Mr. Walker was born Sept 21, 1944, in Cumberland, MD and was the son of the Emmitt Walker and Catherine Willis Walker.  

He graduated from Petersburg High School and played on the Baseball and football teams.  He spent two years at West Virginia University and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany.  He worked in Cumberland, MD, before moving to Newark NJ, in the late 1960s.   Shortly after moving, he worked on Wall Street before joining AT&T as a computer technician, retiring after 30 years of service. 

He is survived by his wife, Doris Walker; his children, Andrew Walker, Jr. and Teresa L. Adjangba; a brother, Sanford Walker of Franklin; and two grandchildren. 

Pastor Calvin Redman conducted the funeral 2 p.m. Saturday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel in Petersburg.  Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery with military honors. 

Annie M. Kimble, 60

Annie Mae Kimble, 70, of Maysville, died Saturday, July 10, 2004, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Mrs. Kimble was born Sept 12, 1943, in Seneca Rocks and was a daughter of the late Isaac Clinton Hartman and Sarah Ellen Dolly Hartman. 

She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1964 and was employed by Pilgrims Pride Corp. in Moorfield for 18 years.  She was a Methodist. 

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, James W. Kimble; a daughter, Pamela L. Taylor and a son, William Allan Kimble;, both of Arthur;' two sisters, Mary Kimble of Arthur and  Viola Kessel of Maysville; a brother, Howard Hartman of Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg; and three grandchildren.  

Pastors Lynn Durbin and Bradley Taylor conducted the funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.  Burial was at Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville.  

Charles Bland, Jr., 57

Charles Kyle "Woody" Bland, Jr., 57, of Thomas, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Garrett county Memorial Hospital, Oakland, MD.  Death was sudden and unexpected. 

Mr. Bland was born October 25, 1946, in Elkins and was a son of the late Charles K. 
"Sparky" Bland, Sr., and Margaret Louise Sines Bland of Thomas.  

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War.  He was currently employed by Polino Contracting as a truck driver.  He was a member of the Thomas Volunteer Fire Department for 37 years, and the Thomas Presbyterian Church.  

He is survived by his wife, Gloria Kennard Bland of Thomas; two sons, Kyle E. Bland of Thomas and Mark "Sparky" Bland of Lanesville; two daughters, Lisa A. and husband, Scott Dixon of Aurora, and Angela N. Bland of Thomas; two grandchildren, Darius and Landon. 

The Revs. David Crapnell and Todd Rhodes conducted the funeral services 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Hinkle Funeral Chapel in Davis.  Interment followed at the Rose Hill Cemetery. 

Inez B. Cash, 64

Inez B. Cash, 64, passed away at home in Mount Clinton, VA from an extended illness Saturday, July 10, 2004, at 8:30 p.m. 

She was born on June 29, 1940, in West Virginia and was the daughter of Maxine Cunningham Magelo, who survives in Rosemont, and the late Henry Henderson.  

Surviving are children, Christopher Williams, Harrisonburg, VA, Delores Williams, Richmond, VA, Zaneta Williams and Ronnie Pines of Harrisonburg, VA, Miranda and Joe Kesterson of Franklin, Sherry and John Hammonds Jr. of Ballard, Jim and Audi Cash Jr. of Waynesboro, VA, Jerome Brooks and Martin Manning, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Hankins. 

Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, Marshall, Bocephus (Bo), Cassandra (Sissy), Christopher (C.J.), Gwen, Sophia, TJ Dove, Joseph, Ronnie, TJ Fletcher, Jacob and Andy; nine brothers; four sisters; and several nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by two sons, Michael Letchworth and Arnold Ray Williams Jr.; and one brother. 

There was no funeral service.  May God Bless Her. 

McMullen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangments.
