Mary C. Wimer, 72

Mary Catherine Wimer, 72, of Ogden Road in Moorefield, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg. 

Mrs. Wimer was born Feb. 2, 1932, in Pendleton County, and was a daughter of the late Gordon and Ann Wimer Arbaugh. 

Her husband, Hoy Wimer, preceded her in death in November 1991. 

Surviving are three sons, Ray Wimer of Moorefield, John Wimer of Mathias, and Tony Wimer of Maysville; five daughters, Louise Wimer of Dorcas, Susie See of New Creek, and Teresa alt, Brenda Sherman and Rita Strawderman, all of Moorefield; three sisters, Dorothy Whetzel of Dorcas, Martha Keplinger of Petersburg, and Betty Whetzel of Augusta; five grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren 11 great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.  

Pastors Craig Howard and Becky Bennett conducted the funeral 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield.  Burial followed at the Woerner Cemetery in Fisher.

Berlie B. Wimer, 76

Berlie Brooks Wimer, 76, of Franklin, died Sunday, June 27, 2004, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. 

Mr. Wimer was born Feb. 10, 1928, at Hunting Ground, and was a son of the late Fred Mr. Wimer and Bertie C. Warner Wimer. 

He retired from White-Westinghouse after 33 years of service and was an Army veteran of the Korean War. 

On Jan. 6, 1953, he married Maxine Carrie Hartman Wimer, who survives. 

He is also survived by a sister, Dessie Lambert of Newark, OH; a stepsister, Bonnie Murphy of Riverton; a brother, Eston Wimer of Amarillo, TX; and a half brother, Bobby Wimer of Riverton.

He was preceded in death by three brothers. 

Elder Richard Warner and Bishop David Hartman conducted the funeral 11 a.m. at the Kimble Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin. Burial was at the North Fork Memorial Cemetery in Riverton, with military honors conducted by the members of the Pendleton County Veterans Honor Guard.

Maurice R. Mowery Jr. 

Maurice Richard "Ricky" Mowery Jr., 20, of Petersburg died Monday, June 21, 2004, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown as the result of an automobile accident June 15 in Petersburg. 

Mr. Mowery was born Jun. 20, 1984, in Baltimore, MD, and was a son of Maurice R. "Tom" Mowery, Sr., of Petersburg and Mary Jaubick Mowery of Baltimore, MD.

He attended Petersburg High School and was a painter and mechanic. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Renee Dixon and Sherry Lynn Parsons, both of Baltimore, MD.

The Rev. Richard Longbon conducted the funeral at 2 p.m. June 24 at the Basagic Funeral HOme in Petersburg. Burial was at the south Branch Valley Memorial Gardens.
